Key Duties:

 

· Analyze monthly sales activity for selling agencies for month-end close, review all sales related journal entries, prepare and validate monthly sales accruals

· Prepare various month-end journal entries as well as review journal entries from associates in department related to Ticket, Express, and Charter revenue

· Reconcile sales tool database to Oracle general ledger accounts monthly

· Synchronize the sales tool database on a monthly basis to the Common database and research and resolve any differences

· Field various internal and external audit questions

· Prepare month-end reporting schedules for Upper management

· Prepare yearly plans for ticket revenue components, interline/pooling commissions, and state subsidy revenue.

· Perform general ledger testing for Trips/Max system releases

· Perform research, analysis, and special studies as requested by  management

· Complete balance sheet account analyses

 

 

Experience, Education and Training:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· 3 - 5 years experience in complex accounting environment encompassing monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed financial analysis

· Excellent PC skills including advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Access

· Previous experience in Oracle general ledger preferred

· Strong analytical skills

· Solid verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
