The firm is seeking an experienced accounting manager. The accounting manager would be responsible for the books of numerous investment vehicles (LLC's and partnerships). The candidate needs to have an understanding of LLC and Partnership structures. This person would be interacting with portfolio companies and banks and needs to be very professional. The candidate would report directly to the firm’s principals. Tasks Include: Manage the general ledger and month end closings of over 20 entities Bank statement reconciliations for investment vehicles Track stock trades and investment gains/losses Working with bank debt and lines of credit Preparing cash flow projections for investment commitments Prepare information for outside accounting firm to prepare tax returns Personal Characteristics: Must be very trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality Must be detail oriented Must be able to multi-task Must be a fast learner, very proficient and a team player Excellent organization skills Must enjoy working in a small office environment Qualifications: Requirements The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience in bookkeeping/accounting Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance Understanding of stocks and options is required. An advanced skill level in Quickbooks, Excel, MS Word, and Outlook is required Familiarity with Advent is preferred.
