Accounts Payable Manager:Key function of this role is to ensure proper payment of company debts through the implementation and enforcement of standard accounting practices.  To ensure proper general ledger/vendor/credit codings, as well as month end and end-of-year accruals. Responsible for managing the company accounts payable process for multiple entities and function in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position will direct and oversee the daily management of the accounts payable staff and processes associated with the payment of invoices ensuring the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to vendor payment, processing of purchase orders, receiving, invoices and payment of invoices and communication with buyers. Ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to accounts payable. Areas of Responsibility:  ·   Communicate all activities to Controller  • Successfully manage all vendor responsibilities·   Ensure all credits due to the Company are properly documented·   Ensure all negotiated contracts are paid as agreed upon·  Manage and complete all projects as assigned·  Maintain immaculate records·  Review all payments to determine: a) appropriateness of payment to the business; b) proper approval for payment is documented; c) correct coding to the General Ledger.·  Analyze the Accounts Payable Aging in conjunction with vendor statements to ensure follow-through on past due invoices and corrections of procedural errors.·  Ensure regulatory compliance by preparing all 1099's at month end and accrual of necessary use taxes for expense payments.·   Plan, direct and monitor the work flow of assigned employees for efficient results. ·  Provide assistance and direction in the solution of work problems with employees. ·  Communicate with employees and management on a regular basis to ensure procedures are followed and carried out on a timely basis.  Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years previous management experience in an Accounting Department preferably Accounts Payable.  Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, and individual should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (specifically Excel).
