PAYROLL & PAYABLES CLERKS/ACCOUNTANTS
Needed for
Luxury Resort in DESTIN, FL

Abec Resorts, Inc. is looking for TALENTED & VERSATILE CLERKS & ACCOUNTANTS to perform various accounting functions.  Duties may include include:

PAYROLL ACCOUNTING:
* Process bi-weekly payroll and review all payroll submissions for accuracy
* Prepare biweekly payroll costing and allocation, including journal entries and external company billing
* Consult with Human Resources regarding payroll and human resources disputes
* Prepare reports and flag exceptions related to employee attendance and paid time off

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
* Process payables and payments for multiple entities, reviewing for proper approval and coding
* Generate scheduled payments for contracts, leases, taxes, and other recurring payables
* Allocate costs between entities for utilities and other multi-company payables
* Maintain A/P files, including vendor W-9s
* Prepare annual vendor 1099s and maintain necessary vendor information
* Process employee expense claims and reimbursements

GENERAL ACCOUNTING:
* Review and develop allocations of inter-company expenses
* Prepare and reconcile daily sales entries for various retail establishments
* Daily banking including counting, verifying and depositing funds

Required Skills:
* Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
* Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
* General accounting skills
* Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills--both verbal and written

Required Experience:
* 2-5 years of accounting, accounts payable, or related experience
* OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Payroll, Hospitality, Property Management, Construction and/or Tax experience a plus!
