A/R Accounting Manager-Richardson/Plano

Large company in the Richardson/Plano area is seeking a AR Accounting Manager   This organization offers a great corporate culture and upward mobility!!!   Responsibilities Provide timely and accurate application of cash Serve as liaison and change agent regarding any customer business process initiatives and the impact Customer Financial Services Provide timely and accurate period reporting, continuing to offer greater insight to customer and process issue areas, capturing process opportunities Ensure compliance with Policies and Procedures Achieve key performance indicators, as well as Cash team objectives Provide A/R support for affiliate accounting and freight groups Provide billing support and assist with EDI coordination Ensure full compliance with SOX procedures, controls, and testing Support escheat procedures Support training initiatives Direct responsibility for leadership and development of 15+ non-exempt and exempt associates Requirements -  Functional knowledge of Accounting (A/R and/or Credit preferred) with previous supervisory experience. Ability to analyze complex business scenarios, develop and evaluate actionable solutions and push through to completion. Ability to work with, communicate with, and influence individuals from varying groups Demonstrates strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize critical path activities. 4-year business degree with emphasis in Finance and/or Accounting. CPA / MBA preferred but not required. SAP experience highly preferred, Implementation experience is a big plus 5-7 years of relevant experience in Accounting, transaction processing, or other customer facing position. Excel and Word skills required.
