ACCOUNTANT

Diagnostic Health Corporation, a multi-modality facilities offering a combination of outpatient diagnostic imaging services, including MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine services currently has an Accountant position open at it’s headquarters in Birmingham, AL..

Position Summary
Responsible for various functions within the accounting department.

Responsibilities
• Perform various accounting activities within prescribed time schedules and guidelines as directed.
• Perform month-end close procedures including preparing and recording manual and recurring journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Prepare and improve account reconciliations and performs account analysis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analytics.
• Performs special projects as needed.

Qualifications
• BS in Accounting required
• CPA eligible preferred
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and statistical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
• 0-2 years experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
