ACCOUNTANTS: COST ACCOUNTANT & STAFF ACCOUNTANT

ACCOUNTANTS NEEDED: 

Multiple positions available due to growth at world-wide manufacturer and service company.  Bucks County company, headquartered in Doylestown, seeks experienced cost accountant and staff accountant to assume responsibility for product costing, production and financial reports, forecast P&L results, prepare financial and operating analyses, month ending closing activities, journal entries, inventory valuation, cost schedules and G/L reconciliations. Cost Accountant will be responsible for cost estimates and analysis for new products and services and other accounting or administrative duties as needed.  Staff Accountant will handle invoicing, collections, general accounting, fixed assets and other accounting or administrative duties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a BA/ BS degree in Accounting/ Finance or Business related field


Experience: Cost Accountant requires min. 5 years; Staff Accountant min. 2 years

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word; GAAP knowledge

Experience with Cost Accounting in a manufacturing and service environment

Excellent oral and written communication

 

Job Duties include:Apply principles of cost accounting to collect and analyze data to determine costs of manufactured products and construction projects, including variables such as raw material purchases, inventory and laborAnalyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing to budgetAnalyze inventory, perform cycle counts, administer annual physical inventoryPrepare general ledger entries and other general accounting tasksPrepare monthly reports, assist with periodic audits
