ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities will be to support the accounting staff by learning all aspects of the accounting department from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable thru to general ledger review and more. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Accounts Receivable

·  Process Accounts Receivable in a multi-organizational environment.

o Prepare Deposits

o Process Credit Cards

o Cash and A/R Receipts application

o Copy, distribute and file cash receipts where necessary

·  Have the ability to multi-task; deal with many separate bank accounts.

·  Research client remittances and discrepancies; act upon them quickly and effectively.

·  Knowledge of Accounts Receivable systems, client databases and related controls.

Accounts Payable

·  Process Accounts Payable in a multi-organizational environment.

o Setup/record vendor package for distribution and authorization

o Follow-up on open vendor packages pending authorization

o File paid invoices and statements

o Organize, match and check return authorizations

·  Have the ability to multi-task; deal with many separate charts of accounts.

·  Research vendor statements, phone calls and payment discrepancies.

OTHER DUTIES:

·  Assist Staff controllers as needed with monthly filing, accounts receivable postings, reconciliations, etc...

·  Assist Group Controller, Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller on an as needed basis.

·  Assist in audit preparations including research, schedule preparations, copying, etc...
