The winning candidate for this position will effectively manage deadlines with ease and have the ability to work well under pressure. In addition he/she must understand the importance of handling the collection process in a courteous and professional manner.  As the Accounts Receivable/Collections professional, reporting to the Controller, you will assist in the A/R collection process daily. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:  • Reviewing Accounts Receivable aging reports daily  • Researching and follow-up on all accounts 45 days and older  • Closely monitoring the independent Contractors A/R aging  • Sending letters 30,45,60,90 day notices in timely manner maintain tracking of call log  • Following-up with Promissory notes or collections agencies  • Posting payments to appropriate accounts  • Preparing monthly analysis of account status  • Filing liens when the appropriate time comes  • Backing-up the cash application position  • Cross training with A/R billing functions  • Contributing to a positive and productive work environment  • High level of communication skills  • Customer services skills  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience a must    Please email your resume to mesa@ledgent.com for immediate consideration as a Word attachment! Local candidates only please!         About Ledgent Ledgent is a full service accounting and finance placement firm offering temporary, temporary-to-hire and direct hire staffing services.
