AP Specialist/Accounting Assistant- Great direct hire opportunity

A Birmingham-headquartered insurance firm is working with ITAC Solutions for this great opportunity.  This person will report directly to the controller and some responsibilities include processing AP, commission reporting and additional accounting duties as needed. 

Some specific duties include:
Processing expense invoices, reconciling and posting to the general ledger, month-end processing, balancing commission reports, working with controller on annual budgets and assisting with year-end audits, and responsible for daily check deposits. 

Person must be able to multi task, prioritize work, have a strong sense of urgency, have good organizational skills, and be a self-starter with strong initiative.  We are looking for someone who has knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, core computer skills, is goal oriented and able to work in a team environment. 

Salary is $32,000 - $35,000 DOE.
