ASP Operations – Automation Specialist FULL TIME AND 2nd SHIFT POSITIONS AVAILABLE     Job Description: In this challenging and highly visible spot, you will use your programming skills to help develop scripts that retrieve, validate, transform, and distribute (or load) critical financial data from/to multiple systems. These automated solutions must have a high degree of reliability and quality, while ensuring that the information is processed on a timely basis. The position also requires analysis and troubleshooting skills, and presents an opportunity for the right person to be a key player in the growth of this dynamic business. Position responsibilities include:   Development and support of custom integration routines (VB Script, Perl, XML) Systems design, development, and maintenance Systems analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation Database support and troubleshooting (SQL Server 2000/2005, MS-Access, T-SQL) Coordinate the resolution of production issues with internal staff, external clients, and vendors (data providers)Design and implement secure communications and scripts for file transfers (FTP/SFTP) between SS&C, its clients, and authorized third parties    

Qualifications:   Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems with 2 years related business experience Proficiency in VB Script, Perl, VB, .Net, ASP, T-SQL, and MS Access Ability to work individually and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment of ever-changing priorities Demonstrated ability in managing your own daily responsibilities and prioritizing tasks on longer-term projects Ability to grasp new concepts quickly Desire to increase technical knowledge Knowledge of Pervasive integration products a plus Knowledge of investment accounting a plus SS&C offers an excellent benefits package including: Competitive Health and Dental Plan 401K Plan Tuition Reimbursement Plan Bonus plan
