AZ/NV Area Controller

AZ/NV Area Controller Responsibilities Direct the daily financial activity and administration of various accounting functions for the corporation in a manner consistent with established accounting practices and methods Oversee the development and implementation of company-wide policies and controls consistent with company policies and procedures Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual closes to ensure timely and accurate completion Ensure that established policies, rules, regulations, and agreements are followed. Ensures that department processes and procedures are appropriately complied with and documented Establish accounting policy to accurately record revenues and expenses Direct management of accounting department staff; ensures a competent, motivated staff through hiring, training, counseling, supervising, and reviewing performance of employees Minimum Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and standard accounting systems, practices, and procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to accurately compile and interpret complex and varied information Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, in person and by telephone, and to interact effectively with others Ability to plan and direct the activities of department managers and professional and administrative staff Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with ten or more years of progressive accounting experience including management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications CPA accreditation Company: Accounting Principals Status: Full Time, Employee Location: Phoenix, AZ 85004 Salary: 65,000.00 - 85,000.00 USD /year10% annual incentive based on ind/team performance Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
