Pinnacle Partners in Medicine is the Anesthesia and Pain Medicine leader in the greater Dallas market and one of the largest anesthesia physician groups in the country. Pinnacle is committed to providing comprehensive, quality and cost effective provider services in the area of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Accountant.This position is located in our Central Business Office which is located in North Dallas.
The position requires an experienced accountant who will apply the principles of accounting to analyze financial information, perform general ledger and financial reporting functions for Pinnacle Anesthesia by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
1. Compile and analyze entity financial information to determine transactional events that should be recorded to the General Ledger.
2. Prepare and record General Ledger journal entries.
3. Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts at month end.
4. Reconcile bank statements to the General Ledger.
5. Prepare and analyze Financial Statements, to include information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, presented in the form of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports summarizing current and projected company financial position for other managers.
6. Review Budget-to-Actual variances and produce variance analysis summaries at month end.
7. Review and analyze Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries.
8. Assist in the preparation of Annual Operating Budgets.
9. Provide back-up support to Accounts Receivable function of Finance Department.
10. Audit contracts to determine proper accounting process, authorization, and supporting documentation.
11. Collect appropriate data and prepare federal, state, and local reports and submit information to outside firm to support tax returns.
12. Assist in coordination and monitoring of entity tax filings.
13. Perform ad hoc financial reporting analysis.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
· Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems.
· Knowledge of office management practices, and accounting procedures.
· Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports and correspondence.
· Strong computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access.
· Proficient in verbal and written communication.
· Skill in gathering and reporting information.
· Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and external customers.
· Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level.
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Accounting.
· 4 to 6 years prior General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Statement preparation experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
· Healthcare industry experience preferred, but not required.
