RESPONSIBILITIES:Closes billing software – bi - monthly. Verifies billing, payments and reviews reports against the accounting software.Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger.Reconciles and balances accounts.Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business.Completes records to or through trial balance.Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers. Determines proper handling of financial transactions. Monitors compliance with company procedures. Investigates errors and inconsistencies in financial entries. Monitors credit card charges, reconciles and flags for payment.Files state sales tax reports.Enters commissions, per diem and demos into payroll.Prepares and posts deferred and accrued income booking vouchers Keeps contact to local accountant Supports Y/E audit by auditing firm Supports Sales Operation by providing input for correct handling of tax and accounting relevant issues

REQUIREMENTS:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The individual should have knowledge of basic accounting software. Great Plains knowledge is a Plus.
