This position is responsible for performing general accounting duties requiring the application of accounting principles and practices. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will have the opportunity to gain experience and the ability to progress within the organization. Responsibilities • Reconcile various general ledger accounts • Prepare monthly journal entries • Report research results in by synthesizing all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables • Develop methods to improve daily processing efficiencies • Reconcile customer account balances • Reconcile all EFT payments received • Track all wire transfers received • Accurately post all cash receipts Qualifications • Attention to detail – Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner • Deadline oriented – Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks • Confidentiality – Can be trusted to keep sensitive information secure • Time Management – Prioritizes work to meet goals and deadlines • Strong communication skills – Both verbal and written • Team Player – Able to successfully work with a diverse group of individuals Computer Skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Requirements Ideal candidate would have 0 to 2 years of experience in accounting.
