Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Summary



To provide financial information by maintaining and reconciling various accounts for a multifaceted company with various entities including real estate, retail and restaurants.  Reports directly to the Controller.

Primary Responsibilities

Accounts Payable - Full Cycle

Verify the accuracy of all expenses prior to GL coding and posting invoices; post invoices.  Provide detail aging reports in preparation of payment processing; process payments.  Respond to vendor inquiries.


Accounts Receivable

Prepare daily bank deposits, post receipts, and update tenant ledgers.  Provide detail aging reports in preparation of collections.  Contact tenants regarding collections.


Bank Reconciliations

Reconcile multiple Bank and Merchant Statements on a monthly basis.


General

Assist in special projects and accounting related assignments.



Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or 7-10 years of proven work history within an accounting environment.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and have prior experience with automated Accounting Software.  Proficiency in Yardi Software is desirable but not required.

Qualified applicants must be attentive to detail, have the ability to multi-task, and be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
