Yoh Aviation has a contract opportunity for an Accountant to join our customer in Chicago, IL.

Job Duties 
• Provide business area knowledge and support to the Closing/Consolidation Initiative within the Finance Transformation program.
• Contribute to formulation of new or improved automated processes, procedures, and information processing systems.
• Coordinate with all accounting organizations across Business Units involved to ascertain system and process requirements such as program functions and input/output data requirements.
• Tasks may include:
• Leading a project team
• Documenting and compiling as-is processes
• Working with business units to define business requirements
• Providing input regarding
enhancements and improvements during process re-design
• Developing and delivering to-be process designs and maintaining detailed documentation
throughout the project lifecycle
• Conducting or assisting in user training

Skills and Experience Needed
• Requires work-related accounting system experience, preferably in the areas of monthly closing and financial consolidation.
• Business process analytical skills are required.
• Other important areas include administrative, communication, leadership, enthusiasm, working within a team environment, problem-solving and planning skills.
• Multi-tasking ability is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft financials, EPM and nVision or Cognos reporting applications is highly desirable, as is the ability to work well with all levels of management and functional disciplines across the company.
• Time management and organizational skills are highly desirable as customer base spans the entire company.
• Coordination of efforts and requirements demands planning and follow up activities to ensure all customers are represented and afforded the opportunity for input.
• Experience with International Accounting and Reporting, LEAN process improvement methodologies, or Sarbanes Oxley also highly desirable.

Education Requirement
• Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting preferred.
