Accountant - Financial Analyst

 Position Title: Accountant/Financial AnalystDepartment: Finance Reporting to: Assistant Controller – NALocation:  Jersey City, New Jersey

Job Overview: 

The ideal candidate will work in conjunction with 2 Senior Financial Analysts. The individual will be responsible for supporting financial reporting and analysis, as well as, internal controls and procedures. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the candidate will help manage the month end close process including corporate reporting (financial ~ operational), complete account reconciliation and analysis and compliance to corporate governance and statutory requirements.  This will be an opportunity for the employee to learn analytical and accounting functions.



Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Monthly financial close and forecast.Supporting sales and operations managers with financial reporting and metrics. Preparation of Eastern Region monthly financial review material..Maintenance and support of financial systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to meet deadlines and deal with pressures associated with those deadlines.Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.Effective communication with others throughout the organization with respect to timely submission of critical information and documentation to ensure that deadlines are met.Ability to recognize and implement opportunities for improvement in accounting operations.The candidate must have strong experience for directing the following areas: general ledgerRevenue & Cost revenue recognition complianceaccount reconciliations and analysesinter-company transactionsAssist with the monthly business forecast process (identify forecast issues, recommend action steps and assist with implementation)
