Accountant - Investment Accounting

Position Description:

As part of our investment accounting team, you will provide accounting, reporting and reconciliation support for our $40+ billion investment portfolio on a STAT, GAAP and IFRS basis.



Responsibilities will include:Compiling and reconciling all transactions related to invested assetsReporting monthly and quarterly investment information to managementPreparing all external reporting, including quarterly and year-end statutory and GAAP investment reportsReviewing all investment transactions for reasonablenessHandling audit requirements and other compliance-related work



Keys to success include:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent2-3 years of investment accounting experience or equivalentPC proficiency with MS Excel, Lotus Notes, Mellon Systems, PAM and PeoplesoftFlexibility to meet deadlines while effectively managing a diverse workloadProven analytical, problem-solving and written/verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and meet strict deadlines
