Accountant - Job Cost

 



Summary: To prepare each period, and ongoing daily, the various development and other project costs reports. This is to be completed  timely and accurately. To assist with analysis, cash projections, forecasting, budgets, and process improvement. To prepare monthly project draw requests and ensure proper paperwork and lien releases.

 

Responsible for the use of the Timberline system for applications related to job cost and project management.

 

 

 

Representative Duties/Responsibilities (subject to revision, reduction and/or increase):

 

General

AD Administration

 Maintain neat and orderly work area.Respond in a timely and professional manner to inquires from all stakeholders.Expected to assist in policy and procedure development and implementation.Support and be resource for corporate and venture managers.

 

AF Accounting & Finance

 Maintain and record in proper categories, all job and project costs.Prepare monthly project cash draws and maintain accurate and correct documentation including releases and lien waivers.Prepare monthly project reports in accordance with schedule, lender requirements, and prescribed procedures.Reconcile all project accounts.Prepare cash flow forecasts.Meet reporting timelines.Assist with budget analysis to ensure that projects are completed within approved parameters.Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Pr  Planning/Budgeting/ReportingPrepare cash flow forecastsAssist with budget controls.Manage and prepare monthly forecasts.

 

SS Safety & Security

 Perform work tasks in safe manner using proper techniques such as safe lifting, etc.Maintain complete confidentiality of company and client records and data.Keep all passwords secure and do not give them out.

 

 

Prerequisites:



Education:

College Degree- preferably in Accounting

Experience:

3 years of job cost accounting

Skills/Knowledge – Professional:

Knowledge of accounting theory practice, GAAP, cash flow,  

Skills/Knowledge – Software:

Prefer Timberline, or other automated systems, intermediate Excel

Skills/Knowledge – Technical:

GAAP, project, development, and construction experience preferred, very analytical thought process and  problem solving. Knowledge of consolidations.
