Accountant - Property Management, Commercial and Residential Real Estate

For residential properties assigned, maintain general ledger by recording all transactions, including journal entries.  Reconcile bank statements. Manage all aspects of the daily accounting functions, including cash receipts and cash disbursements. File periodic tax forms, including payroll, 1099s and business privilege taxes.  Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements.  Prepare core documents for yearend audit. Compile and submit required HUD & PHFA forms in order to receive assistance money.



For commercial properties assigned, manage all aspects of the daily accounting functions, including cash receipts and cash disbursements. Maintain general ledger by recording all transactions, including journal entries.  Reconcile bank statements.  File periodic tax forms, including payroll, 1099s and business privilege taxes.  Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and year end core audit documents.  Prepare year end CAM and tax escalations, reconciling billing to tenant.  Perform special projects as needed.  Compliance - Lease review, monthly billings of tenants, prepare and review weekly delinquency reports.

 

Team with all levels of the company and participate in regular meetings by providing financial data.

 

Must be able to deal with stress associated with a fast paced work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis. Must be able to make judgment decisions. Must be able to adapt to changing work situations and grasp and apply new ideas.
