Accountant Retail Sales Analyst

As the one of the Nations largest Sports Apparel companies located in Portland we are growing at an unprecedented rate.  We are seeking a highly motivated RETAIL SALES ANALYST/ACCOUNTANT to join our ACCOUNTING ANALYST team here in Portland, Oregon.  The ideal candidate will possess a 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance and have at least 2-5 years of experience in the accounting/analyst arena.  As our Retail Sales Analyst/Accountant you will be expected to perform the following.Audit sales for all retail stores and related accounting functionsEnsure the accurate and timely posting of sales figures by using established sales audit policies and proceduresAssist in the maintenance of the point of sales system for the stores and assist with inventory processing issues Participate in the development and implementation of new proceduresCarry out the process of daily balancing, reconciliation and problem resolution of all daily POS transactional data in a timely accurate mannerResearch and respond to credit card inquiries and charge backs

You will have key relationships with retail store management, finance team and corporate HQ Fiance leaders. 

 

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Strong computer skills including Point of Sale systems; Accounting System Software; Excel, and Word.  Access skills are a plus. Strong communication and Interpersonal skillsStrong project management, organizational and analytical skills.A working knowledge of Retail operations and the ability to apply this practical knowledge to the development of controls and procedures.Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.Four year degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of two years accounting experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree
