Accountant- VAT/Sales & Use Tax

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Reconciliation of VAT/Sales & Use Tax accounts in the general ledger to tax returns filed in the US and 30+ foreign locationsWork with client staff and local bookkeepers to reconcile returns, obtain information and identify issuesLiaison with Statutory Reporting Compliance team regarding local accounting matters



Skills & Educational Requirements Bachelors Degree in Accounting3 plus years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in private industry and public accountingWorking knowledge and understanding of sales/VAT taxes preferredPrior experience of VAT/Sales tax accounting/reconciliation and controls in a large international company a plusIndividual should be self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal, communication, written, analytical skills as well as solid technical accounting ability
