Accountant with exceptional aptitude for software systems

Job Description:  

Combine your understanding of accounting and finance with your interest in software and business systems. Tensoft, Inc. is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, recognized for our innovative business management software solutions and our excellent customer service.  We are currently seeking an Accountant with exceptional aptitude for software systems to train as an Entry Level ERP Implementation Consultant.  This position will work with Tensoft implementation teams and on Tensoft support projects and activities. Good communication skills are essential – communication is required within the Tensoft teams as well as with Tensoft customers.. This position is full-time with benefits, and offers excellent growth opportunities.  

  

Duties and Responsibilities:  Help customers learn to use software to meet their business goals. Join Tensoft project delivery and implementation plan models. Document knowledge transfer and installation for project history and process improvement. Effective communication of issues, needs, status, and project impact to the Tensoft Project Manager and extended team.   Knowledge base development and update for supported applications. Participate in Tensoft internal project and best practices reviews. Ability to define and work to defined processes. Answer and track customer support requests.  

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have - Ability to understand specifications and end user requirements. Ability to understand specific business processes and their impacts on organizations as a whole. 2+ years of accounting experience and the ability to pick up software systems and processes rapidly. Good organization and communication skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Intermediate/Advanced skills with Microsoft Office. Familiarity and a high degree of comfort with business systems software. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or other mid-market of Tier 1 software system. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Ideally, will also have - Experience with Microsoft CRM, Knowledge Worker, and tools.  Experience with Revenue and/or Cost Accounting. 

 

 Credentials and Experience:

    Bachelor’s Degree   Demonstrated ability amd understanding of software and systems. Relevant systems administration or systems analyst experience.

Special Requirements: Polished, flexible mindset, self-starter. Able to work independently yet communicate effectively within a close-knit team. Ability to learn and work in a multi-national, multi-cultural, fast paced environment and customer base. Effective communications.

Position Accountabilities: Scheduling time to meet project deliverables.  Tracking and reporting time spent. Immediate communication of any potential impacts to schedule or deliverables. Achieving and maintaining certifications.
