Qualifications:
- People-person/Team player with enthusiastic and pleasant personality and phone manners,
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with Strong Math Skills (GPA 3.5+/4.0), and 2 + years of accounting experience.
- Customer Service and Inside Sales Experience 2+ years
- Strong organizational, motivational, and communication skills, with the ability to relate effectively with all levels of management within the organization.
- Hands on, detail oriented person who is able to work independently with minimal supervision and able to implement internal controls and procedures of the Company
- Able to exercise sound judgment in challenging or difficult situations, including setting forth in-depth business and financial analysis of key decision factors for the Company’s senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Handling Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), General Ledger/Bookkeeping, Bank Reconciliation, etc.; Assisting in Inventory Control and Asset Management;
- Handling Inside Sales and Customer Service duties including but not limited to making phone calls to existing accounts and asking for repeat orders, sending out marketing and sales letters, brochures and samples, entering customers’ orders and preparing bills of lading and other documentation required by customers;
- Assisting the Company’s owner and management in budgeting, investing and financial activities to meet both short and long term goals.
- Monitoring cash flow, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and disbursements
- Monitoring credit and accounts receivable, dealing with delinquent accounts, and ensuring the financial needs of the company are met
- Assisting the Company’s outside CPA firm in timely preparation and dissemination of monthly financial statements, regular closings and annual audited financial statements and budgets.
- Hands-on approach to financial tracking - excellent computer skills required.
- Assisting in tax planning, filing and compliance with all federal and state laws and other applicable taxes
- Other matters required by the Company’s management from time to time
