Huntsman has an immediate opening for an Accounting Analyst in our Accounting Shared Services Division located at our Huntsman Advanced Technology Center in The Woodlands, Texas.
Reporting to the Inventory & Cost Accounting Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and compliant financial results within the published timetable. This role is required to coordinate the collection and processing of financial data accurately and efficiently. Issue identification and resolution is a key part of the role, therefore excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving is essential to be successful in this role. Knowledge of US GAAP is essential, as well as a strong SAP background.
Key AccountabilitiesReports to the Inventory & Cost Accounting Supervisor and is responsible for revaluing the product exchanges for Huntsman Propylene Oxide Ltd and Huntsman Ethylene amines and ensures balances are reconciled and confirmed by exchange partnersResponsible for stock-point accounting for Huntsman Petrochem Corp (HPC) and Huntsman Propylene Oxide Ltd, consignments for HPC, reconciliation of accounts and inter-company balancing. Ensure stock-point balances are reconciled monthly to SAPAudit – Support the Manager of General, Cost & Inventory Accounting in fulfilling all quarterly and annual audit requirements, including the preparation of all PBC schedules. Assist the Manager of General, Cost & Inventory Accounting in resolving audit inquiries as requestedPerform financial data uploads into SAP for various foreign subsidiariesSOX Compliance – Support the Manager of General, Cost & Inventory Accounting in maintaining internal controls as required by SOX
Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting required 3 – 7 years financial accounting experience requiredCPA preferred
Special Skill Requirements and QualificationsSAP F1 Module experience preferredInventory and Exchange accounting experience preferredTM-1 experience preferredExcellent writing and communication skillsSelf-starter. Ability to work independently with minimum supervisionStrong analytical skills
