Accounting Associate, Columbia, MD

 

Our client, a dynamic, growing management services company in the energy producer industry, seeks an Accounting Associate for its newly established Accounting team in Columbia, MD.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a successful organization.

The Accounting Associate supports financial reporting and handleskey areas such as Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Management.  The Accounting Associate also provides  support for long term maintenance arrangements, preparation for audits and other special projects.  In the future the Accounting Associate will maintain Sarbanes-Oxley processes.

Qualifications include:  Associates Degree in a business area, six years of experience in a general ledger and closing environment, knowledge of multiple accounting areas such as accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets; familiarity with Great Plains.  A candidate should be expert in MS Office,: Excel and working knowledge of Word and be able to use an electronic document storage program
