Director of Accounting-Banking 175K

Major International Bank located in New York City is currently seeking a dynamic individual to head their Accounting and Financial Reporting Areas. The ideal candidate should have an accounting degree and 8+ years Public/Private Banking experience at a management level.



Duties consist of the following:Responsible for accounting and financial reporting at the New York location in accordance with U.S. GAAP and International Accounting Standards. Responsible for U.S. foreign bank regulatory reporting to respective government agencies, including compliance with Capital Equivalency Deposit and reserve requirements, and providing support for U.S. tax compliance. Ensure that there is a system of internal controls to reliably record, process, summarize and report financial data generated by business activity. Supervision of accounting staff including training, evaluation, staff development and recruitment. Support corporate development including accounting for new financial products, acquisition and divestment of business entities, migration to new software systems and introduction of new accounting standards. (IAS). Keeping abreast of accounting and regulatory development in the U.S.A. and Internationaly to ensure that local practices are current and documented in policies and procedures. Liaison with local management, Head Office, external auditors and bank examiners on all accounting matters.

 

Financial Reporting and Analysis-Financial Services 75-170K
