Accounting Clerk

Esse Health is the largest independent physician practice in the St. Louis Metropolitan area with over 75 physicians, in 28 locations serving nearly 250,000 patients. As the area’s largest independent physician practice, Esse Health is able to work with insurers as a group. This allows our physicians to manage the care of their patients with less of the outside intervention that is currently prevalent in the managed care industry.

SUMMARY:



The Accounting Clerk assists in the processing of invoices, enters vendor invoices in the Great Plains system, helps the Daily Deposit Clerk with mail payments or other deposits as needed, and helps the A/R Clerk with daily mail payments and insurance payments. Responsible for entering and distributing monthly physician capitation summary. Performs various filing and clerical duties as needed. Helps the Assistant controller, Senior Staff Accountant and Staff Accountant with special projects as they arise.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be detail-oriented, honest, and demonstrate computer and 10-key proficiency.
