Accounting Employee Reimbursement Center Sr Mgr Job Code: CHQ02081003 Job Description: Responsible for the payroll, timekeeping, and travel reimbursement of 13,000 U.S. employees. Working toward potential global ownership in areas where logical. Responsible for staying abreast of leading practices related to payroll and travel and working to implement these improvements Change champion that Influences and leads process improvements related to ERC working with co-process owners in HR, Finance, Business Units, etc. Leads dept of 20 employees to continually improve their processes and develop the team’s abilities to seek continual improvement.  Leads with a contagious enthusiasm that will infect the dept and others to desire change and follow compelling leadership. Works with management team to identify, plan for and develop strategies, services and activities related to ERC processes. Lead customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem resolution, sharing of metrics and improvement plans, keeping the customer experience at the fore front of process improvement initiatives. Oversight of two supervisory direct reports and mentoring their management development as well as their staff. Strategically prioritize all work, projects and new ideas to align with overall department goals and strategies.  Flexibility in resource planning required as customer demands shift. Partner closely with Human Resources functions to ensure collaboration of end to end process in the Hire to Retire flow. Participate and mentor others on acquisition integration teams.  Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent and a minimum of ten years of applicable experience. MBA a plus CPP a plus  Experience: 5 to 10 years experience in managing a group of 20 or more people and running an operational function, shared services environment, or a finance function in Payroll and Travel. Prior shared service experience highly preferred. Change management experience leading, selling, and influencing process improvements within the dept and across the company working with other functional areas. Ability to perform in a project / team environment.  Familiar with process improvement methodology and a champion of seeking improvements.  Willing to tackle the unknown and seek out collaboration from co-process owners Experience in operations and management with the ability to attract, retain and motivate people. Dedicated and experienced in meeting the expectations and requirements of multiple internal and external customers; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. Knowledge of shared service center or call center performance metrics and systems desired. Strong communication skills with ability to present concisely and descriptively in both oral and written format to all levels of management. Strong strategic agility, process engineering, and people management skills. Excellent leadership skills Strong negotiation skills desired. High-caliber individual with strong attention to detail. Broad thinker able to quickly learn new concepts and research topics. Action oriented.  Pursues tasks with energy, drive, and a need to finish especially in the face of resistance or setbacks. Strong leader and developer of teams and staff    Position Summary:This position will report to the Director and be responsible for the Employee Reimbursement Center (ERC) of the Shared Service Center. The Director Finance Shared Services currently manages the Financial Shared Services center for North America which was established in 2000 to leverage common finance processes across all businesses.   The FSS center currently includes Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Payroll and Timekeeping, Travel Reservations and Reimbursement, and Travel Card administration.  The Financial Shared Services Center currently operates on an $8 million annual core budget for 70 employees.   The ERC consists of all employee payments for Payroll, Timekeeping, Travel Reimbursement and Travel Card administration with 20 employees. The continued evolution will be to transition the Shared Services Center from a Transactional service to a Value Added service by expanding the scope of the shared service center responsibilities and assisting with developing relationships with the recently implemented EMEA shared service center and the current implementation of an ASIAPAC shared service center.   The Finance Shared Services Director is currently responsible for building, optimizing and aligning the shared services team.  The team currently totals approximately 69 professionals. As new services are added, the team will also expand.
