Accounting & Financial Reporting

Position Summary:

 

We are a rapidly expanding company, so this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the development and growth of our organization.  We are seeking a self-motivated individual to report directly to the Director of Finance and oversee a Junior Accountant and Accounting Clerk at the corporate headquarters in Beverly Hills, CA. In this role you will be actively involved in the financial reporting process consisting of cash management, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, account reconciliation and assist with variance analysis of the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

·  Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and company policy.

·  Organize, analyze, and interpret company Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss statement and various other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position and recommend process improvement.

·  Design/Create automated tools/reports in the By Design system to increase overall efficiency and productivity.

·  Compile and analyze financial information to prepare adjusting journal entries and document business transactions.

·  Compile monthly, quarterly and annual operational performance reports.

·  Assist in the development of variance reports as required by management.

·  Oversee bank statement and general ledger account reconciliations.

·  Review monthly, quarterly and year-end closing procedures, adjusting entries, accruals, supporting schedules and post closing analysis.

·  Assist in establishing internal controls.

·  Oversee operation of General Ledger system, Accounts Payable process and daily cash management.

·  Oversee Accounts Payable to ensure proper cash management.

·  Oversee 1099 processing at year-end

·  Assist with semi-annual and year-end audits.

·  Train and supervise subordinate personnel.

·  Perform other related analysis and special projects as assigned.

 

Essential Job Requirements:

 

·  BA or BS with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance

·  Minimum five to seven (5-7) years general accounting or equivalent experience.

·  Strong knowledge of GAAP.

·  Must have a thorough understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Trial Balance.

·  Ability to formulate and implement well though out solutions to day-to-day issues with minimal supervision.

·  Team player that can thrive in a fast paced environment.

·  Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

·  Strong attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality work.

·  Excellent ability to multi-task.

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·  Proficient with MS Office Suite: (Excel, Word and Outlook).

·  Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.

·  QuickBooks experience a plus.

 

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
