Accounting Manager

This job will be responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with US GAAP and corporate guidelines, including maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger. He/she will coordinate Sarbanes Oxley 302 & 404 activities. This position will manage General Accounting functions: AP, AR, Payroll, Taxes and Cost. Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Expertise and performance of a range of assignments contribute significantly to the groups accomplishments. Responsible for accuracy of own work, meeting schedules. Development, analysis and interpretation of accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and operating effectiveness of the organization. Guide and direct activities related to maintenance and development of standard manufacturing costs. Prepare reports on customer/product profitability and explain variances against expectations. Establish and maintain strong internal controls. Generate and analyze inventory reports and troubleshoot inventory issues. Develop Budget and update monthly and quarterly forecasts. Convert legacy business systems to new ERP. Develop skills and abilities of accounting staff. Bachelors degree in related field or appropriate combination of education and experience.  8-12 years of hands on accounting and managerial experience. Exercises ingenuity and implements innovative concepts. Takes initiative to make decisions and resolve complex problems and accomplish objectives. Interacts internally and with external groups on matters that involve negotiating, influencing decisions and obtaining approvals. Supervisory skills with emphasis on managing human and resources and performing related duties. Ability to function effectively in environment of tight deadlines and multiple pritorities.   Strong technical accounting competency. Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing organization. High integrity, honesty and trust are essential.
