Accounting Manager-Financial Services

Our client, a rapidly growing Asset Management firm, is currently seeking a forward thinking Accounting Manager to join their thriving Manhattan office.

 

 

Main Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

 

· Managing the US finance function (5 staff)

· Processing the accounts and producing divisional, departmental and company financial  

  and management reports

·Customer billing system management and control of usage based fees

·Cash management for Accounts Payable, cash projections and analysis of

  budget vs actual on a consistent basis

· Preparation of commentaries and variance analyses and working with functional managers

  to improve their financial performance, including cost control

· Product and customer sales revenue analysis and reporting and customer contract control

· Tax planning and compliance – corporation and sales taxes across several states

· Budgeting and forecasting

· Intra-group transactions & balances

· Implementation and maintenance of internal controls

· Balance sheet management, including all major control accounts

· Managing credit control

 

Required Skills:

 Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance CPA a MUST-MBA a plus Contract billing and corporate tax planning experience. 5-7 years of experience at least 2 years in a managerial roleFinancial industry highly desired Strong system development skills Analytical and investigative skills Able to take ownership as well as work within a team Nominal ledger systems Excel and Word
