Accounting Manager-High End Fashion

Our client, a high end fashion company located in SOHO, is currently looking for an Accounting Manager to work directly under the Controller.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Direct supervision of three to four staff members.  Oversee the maintenance of the Company’s general ledger.  Performs journal entries and reconciles accounts including those from which payments are made to employees, vendors and other services.  Prepare schedules for payments of commercial rent tax, sales tax and other legally necessary payments.Manage financial reporting, the general ledger and account reconciliation processes.Prepares the Company’s balance sheets cash flows and profit and loss statements, which reflect the Company’s financial position.Oversees preparation of various financial reports.Prepare annual Tax Returns and works with the external audit company, during the annual audit.

 

Qualified Candidates should possess:

 

· Strong Analytical skills a must. 

· Any manufacturing/Fashion experience a plus. 

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 

· Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Ability to prepare pivot tables, v-look ups and write macros. 

· Four to six years experience in an accounting department with similar responsibilities

· At least one to two years as a direct manager of staff. 

· Licenses/Certificates:  CPA preferred but not required.
