Accounting Manager - Manufacturing Growth Opportunity

Join this leading Columbia, SC manufacturing company!!  Our client is seeking to add an Accounting Manager to their growing team.  This position requires a forward-thinking individual that can grow with the company and step in & make an immediate impact.  * Ideal approach for this role is on a contract-to-hire basis but direct hire will be considered for the right individual. 

Reporting directly to the Regional Controller, this newly-created position will be responsible for: Managing the accounting functions and analyzing financial information Preparing financial reports and consolidating multi-location activity at month-end Maintaining records of assets as well as the inventory accounting system for the plant Preparing inventory adjustments and reconciling GL and inventory records Supervising the billing functions for multiple locations 

Requirements:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business or similar field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Previous supervisory and decision-making experience required CPA and/or MBA is a plus Public accounting experience is ideal SAP experience is also ideal
