Accounting Manager Needed for Pasadena Area!

Accounting ManagerThe Accounting Manager is responsible for the complete, accurate, and timely initiation, processing, management and reporting of transactions across the accounting organization. This individual will provide leadership and support to the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Job Maintenance, and Collections procedures and personnel. Additionally, the role will identify opportunities for process improvement within the above areas and implement changes to ensure continued transactions processing improvement.Duties: Provide management and direction to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Job Maintenance, and Collections staff. Interfaces with other department managers as necessary regarding AP, AR and Collection issues. Manages accounting functions and preparation of departmental reports Recommends, establishes and maintains accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations. Ensures that accounting transactions for areas of responsibility are initiated, recorded and reported in accordance with company policies and procedures Review and approve all transactional accruals. Provides assistance in the preparation of the monthly financial statements related to areas of responsibility as needed Supervises and trains departmental staff. Manage special projects as assigned by ControllerKnowledge:5 – 7 years of related Accounting experience to include previous supervisory responsibilitiesSkills/Abilities: Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access skills Experiences in MAS Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good project management skills Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines Adherence to department/company policies and procedures Ability to function as a team player  Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
