Accounting Policy Analyst, AVP or VP

Requirements:



 

·  BS in Accounting with five to 10 plus years audit, transaction advisory or accounting policy experience in a “Big Four” public accounting firm, (financial services clientele), bank or other financial institution.

·  CPA with solid knowledge of SEC and IFRS reporting requirements including the understanding of technical accounting issues such as Fin 46R, SFAS 133, SFAS 140 and SFAS 157 / 159.

 

The successful candidate will report to the CAO and CFO, acting as an extension of the accounting policy group, working closely with the front office to evaluate, document and conclude on proper accounting treatment for proposed M&A, structured finance and capital market transactions.  Must have strong communication skills in order to explain issues dealing with highly complex economic and accounting transactions.
