A well established corporation seeks an Accounting Specialist.  This position will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the financial information, conducting audits of inventory and working on various projects within the accounting department.  This is an excellent advancement opportunity!  Recent grads welcome to apply!

Duties include:Audit and Reconcile InventoryPrepare consolidated financial statements on a monthly basisReview and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basisPrepare recurring and adjusting journal entriesMonitor capitalization of fixed assetsReview and reconcile depreciation schedulesMonitor the accounts payable department with coding of invoices to the general ledgerMonitor sales and use tax charges on invoicesPrepare and submit sales and use tax reportsPrepare 1099's at year end

Requirements Include:BS Degree in AccountingKnowledge Microsoft OfficeAbility to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed wtih objectives without supervisionKnowledge of general accounting guidelines and proceduresAbility to multi-task with a high attention to detail
