Salary: $32,000 + Generous Incentive Plan
SUMMARY:
Do Accounting work for individuals, corporations and big box jobs. Set up client file folder and send out introductory letter to client explaining what paperwork is needed on a monthly basis to do accounting. Do monthly and quarterly financial reports, reconcile bank statements and process quarterly payroll reports. Send W-2s and 1099 Misc. at year end, answer phones, call clients and write letters/fax for information when needed. Do individual, business & corporate Tax Returns. Process LLC paperwork for clients to become an LLC. Write up additional work contracts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Composes and types routine correspondence, makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials
Answers and returns clients calls and research accounting information for client
Check off tasks completed in CMS
Puts notes in CMS on all correspondence to and from the client
Check in paperwork received from client
Set client up in Quickbooks and assigns general ledger account numbers
Copy client disk or zip disk into incoming file
Post checks and credit card entries on monthly basis from client
Reconcile clients bank statement monthly
Print balance sheet, income and expense reports each month
Mail monthly reports to clients along with any other paperwork
Do quarterly payroll reports for certain clients
Do Sales Tax reports for certain clients
Send paperwork to the Payroll Department in Texas for clients who request payroll
Do Federal and State Tax returns for sole proprietor, S-Corporation or C-Corporation
Assist Tax Resolution on big box jobs by sorting by years and months and complying all paperwork to do accounting for each year on contract
Fill out LLC Questionnaire and mail to client for signature
Fill out SS-4 Form and 2553 and 8832 to IRS
Send Articles of Organization to State
Make up SBS binders for Tax Consultants, Print Pages, sort pages for the 5 different categories, assemble and put into the binder and mail to consultants
Assist Tax Consultants on writing up SBS Engagements
Other tasks as deemed necessary or as determined by management
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
