Accounting Supervisor/Manager
Astria Solutions Group is looking for an Accounting Supervisor/Manger to run the Accounting and Finance Department of this Schenectady based business. Astria Solutions Group is the parent company of both docSTAR, a nationally recognized and successful document imaging company, and Computer Professionals International, a regionally based network integration firm.
The Accounting Manager’s role is to support the financial accounting and reporting needs of our Schenectady based businesses. The Accounting Manager is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as process engineering. The Accounting Manager will work closely with Senior Management Team to identify, recommend, develop, implement critical reporting solutions and process improvements. This position reports to the CEO.
General Responsibilities:
n This person will have complete responsibility over the General Ledger and all financial reporting and processes associated .
n Responsible for monthly close including all entries in the general ledger and reporting to the Senior Management Team (monthly actual results, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts)
n Responsible for cash flow management and reporting as well as treasury function involvement.
n Develop sales reports and other operational reports for Division President
n Responsible for accuracy of monthly physical inventory
n Project work; involving consolidations and other finance team special projects
n Responsible for the development of policies, systems, special analytical projects for business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
n Support growth opportunity assessment related to new product and new business opportunities.

Skills Required:
n Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, Master’s degree would be a plus.
n 3+ years (4-5) preferred experience in accounting/finance including experience with financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
n A good understanding of general ledger and monthly financial close processes, and a practical experience with financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
n Must be proficient in Excel, and Power Point software programs.
n Good process orientation.
n Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
n High level of self-motivation, customer orientation and teamwork.
n Keen attention to detail.
n Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
n Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
n Exceptional customer service orientation.
