They are currently seeking a time and expense specialist for their accounting department.  This position will primarily consist of time and expense accounting but will also include some accounts payable duties.  Previous experience in a time and expense environment is required, and accounts payable experience is preferable.

JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Time and Expense Specialist

 

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing time entry, process accounts payable, generate time reports, as well as other accounting functions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage time entry (50%)Generate Daily ReportReview, monitor and update all time entryAssist staff with time entry questionsGenerate monthly time reports

Process Accounts Payable (35%)Code and enter accounts payable invoicesProcess weekly check runMaintain hard copy AP filesTroubleshoot outstanding invoices

Maintain Time & Expense Software (5%)Set-up client codesEnter and update billing ratesAssist staff with data entry issues

Generate Monthly Management Reports (10%)Produce monthly time and expense reports

Other related duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferredRelated experience can be substituted if basic accounting courses have been completedTwo or more years of work-related experience in a professional services firmExposure in a time and expense environment requiredDetail oriented with good organizational and communication skills
