Accounts Payable Assistant Manager

We are seeking candidate for an immediate opening as an Assistant Manager of Accounts Payable. This position will support the Accounts Payable Department Manager in general operations of the department. Candidate should have a 4 year degree plus 3-5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable environment, including experience with travel & expense statements, credit card and P-card processing, 1099M tax reporting, contracts, Sales/ use tax, payment terms and ability to maximize prompt pay discounts. Candidate should also have a strong understanding of the interaction between purchasing, cash management and accounts payable functions. Must also have understanding and ability to work with IT programmers and trouble shoot system problems, including researching and making recommendations for system improvements, drafting work requests and testing/reviewing system output. Candidate should be strong in MS Office products and experienced in writing documentation and training materials. Experience with Sarbanes Oxley a plus. Candidate must have experience in an automated purchasing & accounts payable system, preferably Procure+ and CDS Must have the ability to work well with all levels of employees and vendors and have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
