Accounts Payable/Fixed Assets Clerk

 

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of A/P and Fixed Assets management. In this position you will:

 Review invoices, match invoices with validation, assist with invoice filing and ensure the input of data into the system is timely and accurate;Handle questions and provide responses to all information requests from internal or external customers;Prepare and enter journal entries into the general ledger and correct errors in the system;Enter company assets into the accounting system against approved purchase orders; Stamp incoming invoices as received, insure invoices have been authorized for payment by the appropriate individual, process vouchers into accounting system, assemble  voucher backup for each individual payment, research payments as needed, and mail checks; Apply recurring journal entries for properties in order to adjust for depreciation and amortization adjustments;Assist in coding of invoices on an as-needed basis; maintain department files and  match invoices to purchase orders;Ensure adherence to authorized signature list approvals and purchasing cycle policies;Maintain fixed asset records; monitor purchases, prepare comparisons versus budget, and calculate depreciation.

 

 

Qualifications:

 3 + years A/P experience;Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance a plus;Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills;Must be proficient in a wide area network environment utilizing Microsoft Office products;Facility with Microsoft Excel; Navision experience preferred;Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;  Must be a solid team player.
