Accounts Payable Lead

Omniflight Helicopters Inc. is the largest privately-held air medical company in the country.  We currently operate over 70 air ambulance helicopters and airplanes in 18 states.  Some of our programs include Native Air Ambulance in Arizona, Med Flight in Ohio, LifeLine in Indiana, and Mayo Air Medical Transport in Minnesota.  We are seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to help expand our business even further.  If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding career, Omniflight is the place for you!

 

SUMMARY: Assists Accounts Payable Supervisor with personnel matters and issues.  Specializes in complex invoice coding and vendor problems.  Reviews coding and data entry to maintain efficient processing of invoices.  Organizes and coordinates timely check runs.  Ensures all time-sensitive invoices such as utilities, phones, etc are paid in a timely manner to avoid any late charges.  Maintain vendor master list. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in supervising accounts payable staff on a daily basis.Review all data entries for accuracy.Ensure vendor accounts are current and all appropriate credits have been applied on vendor checks. Review weekly cash requirements with supervisor.Assist in training new staff.Assist in the compilation of training manuals.Assist in annual performance evaluations.Process difficult and unusual vendors. Maintain all monthly recurring invoice logs.Reconcile complicated large vendor statements.Must be knowledgeable in processing accruals.Maintain petty cash and travel advances.Assist in the 1099 process.

 

 

  REQUIREMENTS:Demonstrate leadership and initiative.Create an environment which clearly demonstrates teamwork, professionalism, and a positive environment. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.Required to lead by example.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Five or more years related experience, college coursework preferred.Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw conclusions.Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions.Proficient in Microsoft Excel required, Great Plains a plus.Ability to prioritize, delegate and handle projects simultaneously.
