Accounts Payable Manager

Manages the accounts payable function within the organization's established policies. Arranges and oversees completion of all work. Examines records of amounts due and makes sure invoices are paid according to terms and discounts taken. Directs invoice processing and verification, expense coding, and drafting of payment checks or vouchers. Supplies regular or written reports. Suggests improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of unit.

 

The Innovation Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and own the company’s systems for recording, coding and handling all payables.  This position is part of the Shared Services organization that supports multiple US operations.  This person will report to the Vice President of Finance & CAO and be responsible for:Handling all AP issues and inquiries whereby negotiating purchasing terms and increasing the company’s purchasing power Managing and recording credit card and expense reports transactions in a timely manner Coding bills and recording them in the correct account by departments  Timely check disbursements and wire transfer/ACH payments Working closely with vendors to resolve any issues relating to payables Correctly accounting for accrued and prepaid expenses Managing and reinforcing the company’s approval process & T&E policy and procedures Producing weekly disbursements and monthly AP aging reportsServe as back-up for the accounts receivables functionFinal approval function for processing of Expense Reports


REQUIREMENTSBS, Accounting degree preferred. 4-7 years of A/P experience Must be very organizedMust be detail oriented, works independently with minimum supervision, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment Ability to effectively lead AP department and manage various concurrent projects
