Accounts Payable/Payroll Coordinator

As a fast-paced, growing company, we are seeking a motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in payroll processing, accounts payable and general accounting. Good written and verbal communications, problem solving, and interpersonal skills required. Our company is responsible for creating highly interactive and effective custom training solutions for some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious organizations. We are currently working with companies like HP, Microsoft, Pfizer, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, UCB, Boehringer Ingelheim, Abbott Laboratories and many more.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

- Handle all facets of accounts payable, weekly processing, and interaction with vendors, changes/additions, print reports and resolve issues.

- Handle all facets of payroll, weekly processing & check run, collecting time sheets, reviewing and loading to system, handling changes/additions, assigning dollars to the job, and print reports.

- Credit card and expense report, validation, reconciliation and journal entries

- UPS expense reconciliation and booking.

- Assist with month end closing process and prepare journal entries.

- Back up for billing and accounts receivables

- Complete bank statement reconciliations

- Copying and filing when needed

- Special projects.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Minimum 2 year degree in accounting or related field of study

- Minimum 3 years job related experience

- Highly motivated self starter

- Ability to multi-task and work independently

- Working knowledge of Quickbooks Pro / Enterprise a huge plus

- Strong computer skills, experience with excel and word.

- Well organized, strong attention to detail.

- Familiar with job costing a plus
