Accounts Payable Supervisor

Responsibilities: Supervise two Accounts Payable Clerks Analyze all invoice receipts and their allocation of GL expense coding on a daily basis Supervise that all expenses are paid on a timely basis for all accepted purchases from valid vendors Prepare check issuance on a weekly basis, to include wires and manual payments Supervise the maintenance of vendor master files Meet tight deadlines during month-end and quarter-end closes Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as they relate to Accounts Payable Interact with vendors on daily basis to address accounts payable questions and issues Work with senior management and other departments to reach department goal Prepare year end 1099 process Bachelor degree, required Experience with Accounts Payable processes, required 4 years corporate accounting experience, preferred Proficiency with JD Edwards Software, preferred Expert Proficiency with Excel, a must Extremely Organized, a must Ability to meet tight deadlines Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
