Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk

 

Long Island based Wholesale Distributor seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk.

 

Duties include:
Invoicing, reconciliation, and collection of commercial accounts.
Notifies or locates commercial accounts with delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment.
Confers with commercial accounts by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of sales, service, or credit contract with customer.
Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.
Assists with related special projects, as required.

Other duties as assigned. Reporting directly to the Credit Manager.




Minimum Requirements:
Prior experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Collections required.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel.
Excellent communications skills, including phone and email.

Ability to work well with others.
Attention to detail.
