POSITION:
Accounts Receivable Technician
DEPARTMENT:
Business Office
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree with three years of account receivable processing experience (university experience preferred). Strong computer skills including A/R systems (Banner preferred), Excel, Word and Discoverer. Collection experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The A/R Technician position will be responsible for the daily interaction with students and their receivable accounts. Answers phone and responds to emails for student account services, receives and posts student payments in Banner System; balance cash drawer on daily basis; perform collections on past due student accounts, and perform placement of past due account with third party collection agency. Maintain and monitor accounts that are in collections, as well as invoice, research and maintain all third party billings; assists with the Perkins Loan program by researching inquiries.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong customer service skills, Knowledge and understanding of account receivable processing, team oriented, ability to solve problems and learn quickly.
COMPENSATION:
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications within an established pay range.
