We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable and Collections
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist as needed with Accounts Receivable and Collections including:
Interacts with National Sales Department and clients to ensure timely collections of receivable in accordance with documented policy and procedures or as directed by Accounting ManagementAssist in determining credit worthiness of new accountsRefer chronic delinquent accounts for escalation to the Accounts Receivable ManagerDetermine and recommend suspension of advertising for Credit reasonsMaintain orderly records of credit applications and other related informationProvide accurate and timely client service in resolving disputed balancesMinimize company’s credit exposure Performs Accounts Receivable analysis and reporting. Research, reconcile and resolve all billing disputes. If necessary prepare required documentation to support action to be takenReview invoices to make necessary recommendation for credit memos, re-bills or write offsReview cash applications and any resulting credit balances and provide recommendation for resolutionAssists the Sales departments and Clients with interpreting credit proceduresAssists in documenting and implementing credit & collections procedures in the Accounts Receivable area, for compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and F/ARM Performs other essential tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of accrual-based accounting.Negotiation skills.Creative problem solving skills.Strong computer/technical skills, especially with Excel.Knowledge of media business practices preferredExperience with QuickBooks and other general ledger based software.Strong attention to detail.Superior customer serviceStrong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical skills
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Education and Experience Required:
Associate degree in Accounting preferred, but not required.Two years of previous collections experience.Accounts Receivable experience in a Business to Business environment.
